  3. Brief History of the School • Oldest and largest secondary school in Eger • 1754-Jesuit order • 1776 Cistercian take-over (five-year academic school) • 1787-1802 royal gymnasium • 1900-1901 renovated • Until 1948 Cistercian school

  4. History • 1948-1959 teachers’ training college • 1959-1997 state gymnasium and vocational school • 1997-nowdays Cistercian Gymnasium and Vocational High School
