Dewey Decimal System • A man named Dewey, who once worked in a library, created a system of numbers to put books in order so you can easily find them. It’s called the Dewey Decimal System. Quit
Call Numbers 000’s 100’s 200’s 300’s 400’s 500’s 600’s 700’s 800’s 900’s 538 621 775 • Dewey grouped books into ten areas by subject. Each subject has secret codes or “call numbers” for finding books. You can find a book from its call number. For example, you can find a book with a call number of 538 in the 500’s area. Quit

The Caveman Story • The cavemen story tells what kinds of books you can find in each of Dewey’s areas. Quit
100’s - Who am I? Philosophy and Psychology Man thinks about himself. • Books in the 100’s describe what man thinks about himself. There are also books that explain things man doesn’t understand—like ghosts and aliens from outer space. Quit
