  5. Enter the pet’s microchip number • Free type • Copy paste from electronic medical records • Use a bar code scanner to scan bar code sticker in medical record

  6. Find the pet Pet not yet in the VetPMP Add a pet first Pet in the VetPMP

  7. Pet in the VetPMP • Click “Add a Prescription”

  8. Pet in the VetPMP • RX Date: date prescribed, it will automatically enter current day, can change as needed • Drug Name: select from drop down list • Enter DVM numeric license number • Click “Next Step”

Pet in the VetPMP – Add Prescription • Clinic Name: Select from dropdown menu • Action: Select from dropdown menu • Written Prescription • Prescribed & Dispense • DECLINED to prescribe • Concentration: Select from dropdown menu • Quantity: free type • Unit of Measure: Select from dropdown menu • Directions for use: free type • Refills: Select from dropdown menu
