Project Overview Objective: Develop a uniform patient/financial tracking tool in aneffort to improve the efficiency and financial accountability across the Medical Center. This process is incorporating the five practices of successful leadership as outlined by Kouzes& Posner in The Leadership Challenge.
Leadership Plan • Assessment of current process in key departments. (June 2012) • Identify how subjects are currently being tracked through the study • Identify how these departments are managing their receivables • Implement a standardized tracking system. (August 2012) • Create a standardized tracking template • Test template with key Departments • Template Roll-out. (October 2012) • Implement suggested changes to template after initial test period • Roll-out template to all other Departments
Current Tools • Began identifying how Departments are currently tracking participants in clinical trials. • Due to the diversity in support, and the experience in each Department, there have been many tools developed. The next slides show several examples.
