  8. IHSAA YELLOW CARD ACCUMULATION EJECTION PROCEDURE

  9. - Coach record and report the Yellow cards to the Athletic Administrator Coach work with athlete to avoid future cards Athletic Administrator report the 5 card accumulation/suspension to the IHSAA using the usual rejection report form…athlete sits the next scheduled contest. The next 3 yellow cards will cause another suspension which will need to be reported in the same fashion…sit the next scheduled contest.

State of High School Soccer Nationally • Soccer is the fifth-most popular sport for boys and girls at the high school level. • According to the 2007-08 High School Athletics Participation Survey which is listed in the 2008-09 NFHS Handbook: • 383,561 – H.S. Boys participate in the sport • 346,545 – H.S. Girls participate in the sport • 11,122 – H.S. Boys programs participate • throughout the country • 10,543 – H.S. Girls programs participate • throughout the country

  25. NFHS Soccer Information • November 15, 2009 - Proposed rules changes from coaches and officials should be sent to Theresia Wynns at the IHSAA office. The change should include the exact working and the rationale for the change.
