About The Book ~ Two boys who become friends during the holocaust. ~ This book is about a boy who was forced to move in order for his fathers job. ~ Bruno can see small huts and poor looking people all dressed in the same thing, striped pajamas being separated by a wire fence. ~ His father use to be good man and now some people cant understand why he is doing what he is doing. ~ His father works for the fury.

Setting ~ Time setting is during the holocaust. ~ At the beginning of the book Bruno and his family lived in Berlin. ~ They had to move for work to Outwith. ~ In Outwith there are no other houses with children. ~ In Bruno’s new room he can see a concentration camp but he does not know what he is looking at he thinks that it is a farm. ~ Bruno and is sister are very unaware of things going on.

6. Other Characters ~ The Hopeless case is Gretel, Bruno's sister she is very self absorbed and normally doesn’t pay any attention to Bruno. She is also unaware of things that are going on out side of Bruno's window. ~ Ralf is Bruno’s father he use to be a good man but times have changed since then. Now people don’t understand why he is doing what he is doing. ~ Maria is the house maid but to Bruno she is more family then a maid. She has been there since he was 3. His father took her in and helped her when her and her family needed help.
