1. Where could the BEMS lie? There are 9 possible options. Pros and Cons were identified by a small group. The larger group can make additional pros and cons as needed/discussed.
2. How does BEMS Interface with Critical Stakeholders? During a Disaster… On a Daily Basis… 6 critical stakeholders were identified as interfacing with BEMS. Upon discussion, it was clarified that the interface was a different times – daily basis versus during a disaster situation.
3. What Grants/Funding Streams would be affected by re-locating BEMS? • BEMS is a recipient of the following federal funds: • HRSA: Trauma/Stroke Program • HRSA: AED Grant • HRSA: EMS for Children • BEMS is a sub recipient of grant funds as they are embedded with OPH: • Preventative Block Grant • BEMS is a sub recipient of grant funds as they are embedded with DHH: • Hospital Preparedness Program Grant Funds Unintended Affect: BEMS may risk losing grant funds for Preventative Block Grant and HPP Grant if not embedded within OPH or DHH
