Membership structure / organization / team • Over 300 members (companies, maritime professional federations….) • Wherever there is salted water in added-value (one exception : thalassotherapy !) • Private entities only (just a few exceptions : French Navy or some State-controlled but economy-orientated organizations) • 3 major ways to promote French maritime economy: • Public communication, and specific communication towards administrative decision-makers and politicians • Synergies between members of various sectors • Lobbying (France-Europe) • 5, 75 FTE + active participation of members. • Budget 1000 K€ ++ (members contributions only)
Main activities 2012 / 2013 • “Synergy workshops” (45 topics, 400 meetings and 4,600 participations of executives since end 2006 …) • About 20 lobbying actions permanently and simultaneously on stream, either “individual” requests, or more general issues re maritime policy (such as Blue Book, CIMERs, Parliament debate, regular monthly meetings with government members and high administrative authorities). • “Assises de l’économie maritime”(attendance 1,300+) • Networking buffets (6-7 a year, average attendance 250) • Website (+ 54 000 visits and + 300 000 pages read per month) • French maritime team “half marathon of Paris (300 runners and supporters, 0 hooligan) • Active “Overseas Maritime Clusters: 3 + • …
