  1. Weaving Class Taiwan Taipei Juvenile Detention Center

  2. Project goal By the guidance and practice of the curriculum which let the youth understand the traditional weaving technique in Juvenile Detention Center, in addition to train the stabilization and art character of the youth.

  3. Sponsors • After-Care Association, Ban-Chiao Branch. • Taiwan Taipei Juvenile Detention Center.

  4. Class Locations and Times • Locations: Ping Class Room. • Times: two periods of 50 minutes on each Friday, total 104 classes.

  5. Curriculum Content During the various weaving teaching and practicing, the simple skill that youth was taught which allowed them able to infer the rest from what is already known. Through their imagination and creation, one simple weaving became a marvelous piece of artwork which nothing can be better.

  6. Achievements Through the various line of colors and the Chinese technique that weaving can create all sort of products, also through it’s process, not only could promoting their quality of art ability, but whetting youth’s practice and carefulness.

  7. Achievements Through the weaving learning process, the propose of correctional institution is hoping youth will be able to correct their weakness of impatience and impulsion, while avoiding commits the crime in the future
