INVESTORS IN CAREERS Foxford has earned the Investors in Careers award which recognises the high standard of our careers education and guidance. Five of our students put on a presentation about the careers programme at the school to a judging panel made up of local employers, Connexions managers and school governors as part of the final stage of the awards process. An external assessor also made two visits to the school to look at policies and practices used to support students with work experience and careers choices. This is a brilliant achievement for the school. There have been a lot of changes to the different pathways students can choose from now - from apprenticeships and A Levels to employment with training and foundation learning, so earning this award means we are geared up to help everyone through these options. All of the panel were really impressed with the input of the students during the awards process. They really came to the fore in sharing their experiences with the panel, and reflecting the impact the programme at the school has had. Please see the photograph on the next page. DR WINNACK
