Well it all started on Monday 14 November 2011. All of us were excited and screaming with excitement but also just a little nerves. Arriving at camp in the rain, Miss Hewett slipping over, Miss Hewett on her hands and knees in the mud and making mince on the cookout with my group, were all highlights of our week at camp.
Monday Aimee and I got in Mr Crawford’s car. 15 minutes after we had left school something happened with his car so we had to stop. Eventually we arrived at CAMP KAITAWA! When we got out of the car WE WERE SATURATED. We went and got our bags then we walked into the humungous cabin. It was awesome. Bu-t we HAD to go for a WA-LK DIDN’T WE !!!! But worse, IT WAS (RAINING) Oh well, we got over it.
Tuesday Well Tuesday was here. Now the BIG walk I have to say there was a few steep bits but still Miss Hewett should still be able to get up them. I mean if I can then come on. But no she slipped. She fell and I tried so hard not to laugh, but…OK, I laughed!
Wednesday This is the day we went caving. We drove there. We walked up a slippery track and saw a big hole in the ground. It was bigger than room 11. We reached the first little cave but I didn’t go through it. I went through the second cave with Ro. It was scary. Miss Hewett didn’t slip over that day WOW. We ended up in the same place three times. The caving was extraordinary.
Thursday We went for a walk and saw some really pretty waterfall’s. Then Lisa gave me a little fern and I named it Selena Freckles Gomaz and then Philip pulled it’s leaves off so I was a bit upset with him. I really liked the waterfall’s. When we got back to camp we all got ready for the cookout. Then we all started on the bonfire. Then we all had to make dinner in our groups together. When it was done we got nacho crisps and poured the mince on the crisps, then we ate it. You should of tried it.
Friday Now it was time to go home but I didn’t want to go home any more. I wanted to stay at Camp Kaitawa for another week or two. Camp Kaitawa was the best camp I have been to. The walks were ok, but I enjoyed them anyway!
