  2. Review • Both suffixes make the /shun/ sound. They change a verb into a noun. • Adding /tion/ and /sion/ change the word to “the action, result, or state of” + word • Graphic organizers can be a great help when deciding what to put on each page.

  3. Bookmaking But how do I illustrate? What are some ways to make pictures? What if I am not good at drawing?

  4. Bookmaking: Illustration part 1 Collage: Cutting and pasting to create a picture. Materials that can be used: Paper, fabric, leaves, foil, flower petals, newspaper,etc.

  5. Bookmaking: Illustration part 1 Collage with natural materials: (on document camera) Leaves Petals Grass Sticks Feathers

  6. Bookmaking: Illustration part 1 Collage with man-made materials: (on document camera) Newspaper Cards Tin foil Tissue magazines

  7. Good Listener Eyes are watching. Ears are listening. Lips are closed. Hands are still. Feet are quiet.

  8. Read Aloud: Remember the strategies good readers use while I read aloud to you! Book: The Little Prince By: Antoine De Saint-Exupery Chapter 21-23

  9. Assignment: 1. Illustrate at least one page of your book using the collage technique.
