Improves Quality • Employee development helps improve the quality of the workforce. • Employees are more educated. • Employees are more productive.
Global Competition & Social Change • Employee development allows organizations to remain competitive in today’s global workforce. • Allows organizations to keep up with the challenges of social change.
Incorporate Technological Advances • Employee development is also a great way to introduce new technology to the workforce. • Training and development allows the workforce to stay abreast of current technology and trends.
Changes in Work Design • Employee development is great way to implement new procedures. • Also helps instill company vision and culture.
Possible Initiatives • Tuition Reimbursement= Classes that relate to job or company career path will help improve quality of workforce. • Assessments= Provides great feedback to employees about their skills and behavior. • Job Experiences= Allows employees to stretch their skills through tasks and demands that they face on the job.
