Writing Tips • Your writing should be very polite, so … • Write in short, clear sentences • Avoid using contractions (e.g. I’ll I will) • Use formal English (e.g. gonna going to) • Start a new paragraph for each new topic
Write an Email to a Hotel page 12 (b and c) Scenario: You are planning to go on a trip to Europe with your friends during summer vacation. Choose one of the hotels on page 11, and write an email to the hotel. Remember, one of your friends is blind! Plan your email (part b) and write your email (part c) with 4 paragraphs. Do not forget to write a salutation and a closing. Be creative and have fun!
Homework Choose an English nickname and make a nametag. Bring it to class next time. Be sure to write down three activities you like. Finish writing your email. Then, type your email, print it, and bring it to class next week on Monday.
