Getting Started • Scholastic Programs : Link to learn about programs • Common Core lexilelevel increases • College and Career Readiness SRI Report • 2012-15 District Intervention License Distribution • Please do not go over allotted amount licenses! • Ideally: Start SRI/SPI testing ASAP, next week! • August 25th latest start date for administering K-8 • September 5: Lexile spreadsheet due to CIA • CIA will upload Spreadsheet to Illuminate • Suggested time allotments for testing-start with upper grades • 1 hour for elementary • 1 grade level per day • 1 period for middle school

Tips for Administering the SRI/SPI • Preparation • Teacher explains computer procedures in class before going to lab • Student places red cup on tower if student needs assistance (West Wind) • Computer tech place green dot on correct side of mouse for little ones • Create card for each student with name, username, and password • Alphabetize cards, line students up alphabetically • Place cards in order at computers where they will sit • Login students into SRI to expedite process (teach them how later) • Teacher accompanies students to computer lab to help tech with logging in and troubleshooting • Coach on SAM: enrolling class, saving reports, un-enrolling class filling our spreadsheet • Note on cards & spreadsheet if students didn’t finish/were absent • Exchange info with coaches you can contact with questions

  12. Today’s Task • Compare all classes in SAM with those in PowerSchool to make sure student lists are correct. • Add new students or deactivate • Add new teachers • Form classes as needed
