  3. EUROPATAT • Established 1952 • Representing the seed & ware potato trade in Europe • Members national organizations of 14 countries (mainly MS) • Associated members of 3 MS (when no national organization in country) • Europatat 2010: proposal to give companies possibility to join Europatat

  4. EUROPATAT MISSION • Improvement of commercial and international activities of the potatotrade • Protection of professional interest and the commercial functionon a European and international level • Representing the profession in and at official and international organizations

RUCIP • 1956 RUCIP created: ‘Rules and Usagesfor the InterEuropeanTrade in Potatoes’ • RUCIP-committeedeterminesrules and usages: • EUROPATAT (Wholesalers) • IntercoopEurope (cooperatives) • And in 1970: UEITP (L’unionEuropéenne des industries de transformation de la pomme de terre) (Processing industry) • RUCIP includesan international expertise and arbitration system
