MEWACS Online2010 Overview
Highlights of the MEWACS upgrade include: * FTE and salary snapshots by Skill Type * Visibility of step-down expenses before allocation * Addition of Dental Weighted Procedures and OBD to MTF Data Profiles * Identification of data inconsistencies where workload is reported without expenses * Flexibility to see FTEs and salaries before or after cost pool purification * Expanded help features
Two New metrics: Personnel Profiles Workload-Expense Check
Though the format is fresh, the basic concept of condition selection has not changed.
Two new data elements: Occupied Bed Days Dental Weighted Procedures
Graphs can be copied for use in documents. Data are visible by Skill Type and by Pre- or Post-purification.

Using your own MTF, check for data anomalies in: • * Data Load Status • * Summary Outliers • * MTF Data Profiles – Use multiple select on FY to see if data behavior is • seasonal • * WWR/EAS IV Outliers • * Allocation Test/Detail • * Personnel Profiles • * Workload-Expense Check
FY10 CCR Overview
CCR Highlights include: *Executive Summary *Detailed direct and Indirect expenses by Parent MTF, FM, and FCC4 * Multi-stage outlier flagging methodology: - Negative Expenses - Expenses with no workload - Indirect expenses remaining after step-down - Application of Pareto principle (80 – 20 rule) to indicate which values to evaluate for outliers.
Costpools are included in the Direct expense Direct Expenses have been split into two categories
FY09 Data as baseline for FY10 FY09 data that drives FY10 flags are highlighted
FY10 CCR Scenario
Using your own MTF: * Look for Total Expense anomalies in MEWACS. If your site has no anomalies, use 0043 Tyndall (AF) or 0056 Great Lakes (Navy) * Go to CCR in the appropriate month and 1st Level FCC * Evaluate instances of negative expenses * Evaluate instances of expenses with no workload * Evaluate instances of workload with no expenses * Evaluate other outliers
