Sleep with the Manatees Manatee:Come see what Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo does to save Florida's gentle giants. Tour our rescue facilities and sleep near the manatees in our air-conditioned Manatee Building.

What to expect on your Nite Site Activities may include a night hike, a behind the scenes visit, an animal encounter, games like Manatee Jeopardy and a craft if time allows. Please wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. You must wear closed-toe shoes. Lights will be out by appx. 11:30 p.m. (time can change depending on length of activities). Your wake-up call will be at appx. 6:00 a.m.
Snacks An evening snack of pizza and a drink will be served around 8:30 or 9:00 p.m., please eat dinner before arriving. A light breakfast is provided of granola bars, yogurt, fruit, orange juice and coffee. You are welcome to bring additional snacks and breakfast if you choose.
Accommodations Campers and chaperones sleep in front of the manatee viewing windows located inside the Manatee and Aquatic Center. Your instructor will sleep in a nearby building. The Manatee and Aquatic Center is equipped with central air and heat. There are bathroom facilities located on the Key West deck, showers are not available.
Items campers need to bring Sleeping bag/pillow, blow up mattresses/cots (make sure those who have these amenities do not blockthe view of other guests without the mattresses/cots); toothbrush and tooth paste Rain gear (dependent on the weather) – Umbrellas are NOT recommended. Insect repellant-a non aerosol is recommended. Flashlights (Please make sure batteries are working) Something to get wet in the next day! PLEASE PACK LIGHT-YOU CARRY IN YOUR GEAR AND IT IS A 1/4 MILE HIKE!
Feed Nectar to the Lorikeets
Cost Nite Site with Extension Fees:$45 per boy. $49 per adult. Minimum of 15 participants required. This price includes your night site stay, guided tour before opening and you can explore the zoo the whole rest of the day. Money will be due: On or Before April 27th
