Emergency Services • Current Operations – • DOH is deploying Mobile Medical Clinics • Deploying port-o-lets at comfort stations and other locations • DEP working on air-curtain incinerators for debris removal and air quality issues (burn clean) • Base Camp is operational and located @ the North-bound rest area off of I-75 in Charlotte County • Working with FEMA and ARC to locate facilities for people with Special Needs • Fulfilling LE missions and coordinating between State LE, Local LE & FLNG
Emergency Services • Unmet Needs – • 9 temporary facilities for fire stations • Generators for rural water systems/lift stations • Transport may be needed for transfer of patients to Punta Gorda. • Future Operations - • Assessments ongoing for public health needs • Assessing mental/physical condition of first responders • Continued support for base camps, LSA’s and comfort stations • Deployment of fire inspectors to generators placement to prevent CO exposures • Redeployment of personnel and maintain support for current ones • Identify staffing plan for forward SERT Up next – Human Services
Human Services • Current Operations – • A significant problem regarding food delivery to one county was resolved during the evening • Charlotte and Desoto counties report a steady supply of food, water and ice moving into their counties. • Currently have six fixed DRCs with a seventh opening today in Highlands County • Unmet Needs – • Working on replacement personnel • Future Operations – • Continue to support Comfort Stations, shelters, DRCs and mobile kitchens • Continue to work on short and long-term housing issues Up next – Infrastructure
Infrastructure • Current Operations – • 188,069 customers without electric service • Fuel support to county operations (diesel, gas and LP) • 85 to 90% wireless customers have service in Southwest Fla. • Radio, satellite, cell and POTs telecom requests coordinated • Unmet Needs – • Monitoring fuel delivery resources • Future Operations • Continue to support fuel and telecom requests • Continue to monitor transportation, electrical, telecom, potable and waste water system restoration Up next – Military Support
Military Support • Current Operations – • 3990 Soldiers and Airmen on State Active Duty • 1000 + soldiers conducting security operations • Continue to support LSAs, comfort station, distribution-point operations • CH-47 airlift operations in support of LSAs complete • Other rotary wing aircraft continue to support damage assessment, recon and recovery operations • Unmet needs – • None • Future Operations – • Continue to support security, law enforcement, logistics and humanitarian operations Up next – Logistics
