My mentor always gave me clear instructions and checked every word on my files to make sure my files cover everything that PEO is looking for. • Aimin Wang, P. Eng. He shared with me the experience he learned from his exam, as well as lending me his preparation material. As the date of the exam was approaching, I had more and more questions to ask him. Jeff was always enthusiastic in answering my questions and giving me advices in terms of how to efficiently prepare for the exam.
Success stories (cont’d) • Chengxi Bi, Registered nurse My mentor is my role model.At beginning, I thought I was lucky to be matched with the wonderful mentor; however, when I talked to other mentees, I realized every mentor in this program is excellent due to a strict standard to interview and train every mentor of CPAC. • Qiyun Shi, Resident physician I contacted some physicians for opportunities of observership but I was refused by most of physicians for a variety of reasons. I met my mentor, a physician from Toronto Western Hospital. After that, I had a chance to observe physicians and residents’ practice in emergency room. This experience improved my understanding of Canadian healthcare system and perspectives of a qualified physician.
