Detailed instructions and requirements for installing NetAcumen ActiveX, compatible with specific OS and browsers. Learn how to set up and remove ActiveX controls, download and install the Weblink Client Installer, and complete the setup process efficiently.

Requirements: Administrator: User must be logged in as Administrator of the machine. If you are not the administrator, you will need to contact your helpdesk. Internet Browser: Netacumen is ONLY compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0 or lower (32-bit only) and Netscape. It will not work with Safari, Mozilla Firefox, etc. Windows OS: Netacumen is Windows based and compatible with Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Requirements: NetAcumen System Access Set-up Requirements Recommended Client System Requirements: • Windows Vista or Windows 7 Operating System • Intel Core i3(or higher) processor • 2 GB RAM • 4 GB of available disk space • Internet Connectivity via TCP/IP to connect to the NetAcumen server(s) • Microsoft Office 2007 recommended. However we do support Microsoft Office 2010 as well. • Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.0 or lower (32-bit only) for Windows to display ActiveX objects, such as the Grid, Crosstab, and Reports. Please note that the 64-bot version of IE is not supported. • MSIE requires Active X downloads for first time users, as well as periodically due to maintenance efforts. Downloading and installing Active X controls require administrative privileges on the client work station • Windows English Language Locale Service Pack must be installed for viewing NetAcumen display • Please note that NetAcumen is not supported on the 64-bit version of the Internet Explorer. This is commonly available on 64 bit version of the Windows Operating System. Summary of steps Please note that this process requires a reboot. Each step listed below is detailed in the pages that follow. Notes on Weblink Client Set-up • If a administrator installs the client, a normal user can then use the NetAcumen Portal. • Active-X download is no longer required in this case. • To un-install, please follow the steps in slides 5 through 8. GSI 8.2009 - NetAcumen Active X Download
Known Issues/Risks • The installer does not generate a install log which can be used for trouble-shooting. • All Excel and IE windows should be closed while the install is in progress. Although this does not cause errors during the install process, but may render the controls un-usable. • The controls are not backward compatible and hence should never be installed prior to the upgrade.
