Decreased Turnover Hi Tech Manufacturing Co. • A hi-tech manufacturing company utilized Appreciative Inquiry during a 9-month approach to improving performance. Led by senior management, employees were aligned around the organization’s purpose and core values. Approximately 500 people participated in the alignment sessions, led by internal facilitators. The results were phenomenal. Unwanted turnover dropped from 36% to .5 annualized over 2 years. Implementation of a major new software system (SAP) was implemented on time and within budget, although when implemented in other parts of the organization it was significantly delayed. New products were introduced on time and within budget, and product problems decreased significantly.
