About Dallas Clark • Dallas Clark is a professional football player. Dallas Clark Was born on June 12, 1979 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and grew up in Livermore, Iowa. He is an American football tight end. He is currently a free agent. He played college football for the University of Iowa (that`s why he is so good), and received All-American honors. He was drafted 24th over all by the Colts in the 2003 NFL Draft, and played his entire 9-year career for the Colts. He has been called a “hybrid” tight end because of his capability to play both wide receiver and tight end.
College • Clark played football for the Hawkeyes from 1999 until 2002. He played on special teams and made six tackles during the season as a linebacker. In 2001, the Iowa coaching staff decide to move Clark to the tight end position. In 2001 he caught 38 passes for 539 yards. He also played special teams in 2001. NFL • Clark was chosen the first round in the 2003 NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He started 11 games in the 2006 season before suffering a knee injury on November 26, at a home game against the Eagles. He returned for the playoffs and lead the Colts` to their first Super Bowl win! On February 20, 2008 the Colts signed Clark to a six year contract extension, with salary averaging 4.5 million dollars a year making him the highest paid tight end in the NFL. On December 28, 2008 Clark broke the record for the most receiving yards in a season with 848 yards.
