Earthquakes Point: Most tsunami are less than a meter in deep water. It is when they approach the seafloor they grow in size.
Most Tsunamis are not noticeable until they reach the shore.
How they occur • Earthquake on the ocean floor • Pushes water up • This set off water movement at a great speed • Water at shoreline gets sucked back • Water that is sucked back meets and joins the moving water • It rolls up and collapses
