EVALUATION: Is Son of the Mob a good example of a realistic fiction ? • Yes. Gordon Korman must’ve had a lot of experiences with mobs. The Mob in this book were more realistic and less like The Godfather type gangsters. The crimes displayed in this story are definitely plausible. The descriptions really showed us the main Character’s emotions throughout the novel. In the end the all around theme was that no matter how hard you try you will always be a part of “the family.” A theme we all learn at some point in our lives.
