Why The PDR? • Helps the foster parents to focus on the youth’s behaviors • Helps us track positive, prosocial skills • Identification of problem behaviors   • Normalizing • Shows the behavior progress • Helps detect patterns or cycles of behavior problems. • Makes it possible to deal with the stress in the foster home early on. • To prevent treatment break downs European MTFC Conference 2011. Why The Point sheet? • Focuses on the development of prosocial skills. • Pinpoints Individualizedbehaviors • The most effective way of working with youths with severe behavior problems • Helps the foster parents to use the right MTFC techniques • The youth knows what is expected • Opportunities for encouragement and consequences are built in to the program • Gives the foster parents a given time to give their feedback to the youth. • Makes the program´s and youth’s efforts measurable and manageable.
