  4. But first… • What is a resume? • A resume is an advertisement…for you. It presents your experience, skills and abilities in the best light to get a job. • 2. What’s the purpose of a • resume? • The main purpose of a resume is to get an interview and to keep your network up-to- date.

  5. Your resume should include: Contact info Your objective Summary of qualifications Experience, including results Education Special skills, awards, recognition

  6. What is a Letter of Introduction? • A Letter of Introduction is your voice attached to your resume. • Your resume is a personal factsheet about your goals, skills, abilities, education, etc. • The purpose of your Letter of Introduction is to get the employer to read your resume.

  7. Finally…your Letter of Introduction Josh Wells Correct salutation. Say why you’re interested and what you like about the job and the company. Say what they’ll like about you. Say what else they’ll like about you. Strong, enthusiastic conclusion.
