Project History • 1995 - Clear Lake Water Quality Study completed • 9/19/2000 - OCU conducted a workshop with the BCC to discuss the retrofit of septic tanks to central sewer system • 9/26/2000 - BCC adopted a resolution establishing an MSBU for wastewater connection costs in the Holden Heights Area

Project History • In 2007, a need was identified to increase the services offered at the existing Holden Heights Community Center • A determination was made that the existing 1,765 SF building was too small to accommodate all of the growing needs of the community
Project History • Subsequently in 2010, DOT acquired the existing location for its planned I-4 expansion • The current location will have to be vacated based on DOT’s upcoming Construction Schedule anticipated to be late 2014 or early 2015
Project History • In 2010, a CIP was approved to acquire the needed property to build a new, larger facility • A $4.4M budget was established funded by a combination of OBT CRA, CDBG and County Funds • In 2011, property on Lake June in Holden Heights was purchased.

Project Description • The new, larger facility will accommodate additional much-needed services for adults. • County Programming • Housing Programs • Food Programs • Education Opportunities • Job Training • Wellness Programs • Space for Community Partners to provide some of these needed programs
