Possible Benefits • Easier to deploy software changes • Ability to use more current technologies (PowerBuilder is becoming obsolete) • Better security – especially for sites with strict policies • Use XML to link CAIS to other systems • Eliminate Oracle version problems • Comply with CIO “e-Government” goals
Web Study • Evaluate possible technologies • Perform cost-benefit analysis • Create report for user community review • Create prototype system (against centralized test system) to get user acceptance
CAIS CMMS Links • 14 CMMS’s identified in DOE • Passport and Maximo are used most (12 sites) • RSIS has additional DBA support available • Will work with sites to develop custom CMMS / CAIS links
