  5. Formulated Products OIL EMULSION DISPERSION IN LEATHER STRUCTURE Final meeting –Pisa ICCOM 11 December 2013 REACH REQUIRED ARTICLE

  6. We have formulated the compound ready to use Final meeting –Pisa ICCOM 11 December 2013

  7. We have done the following trials -Product CLP1 made by using standard C -Product CLP1 made by using standard Chloroparaffines (44% Cl) -Product MSCL1 made by usingChlorinatedMethyl-Stearate (35% Cl) -Product MSCL2 made by usingChlorinatedMethyl-Stearate (44% Cl) -Product FACL1 made by usingChlorinatedMethyl-Fatty Acid Ester (44% Cl) _Product FACL2 made by usingPalmkernelChlorinatedMethyl-Fatty Acid Ester (44% Cl) (44% Cl)

  8. CONCLUSION Ready to use Fatliquor by using Chlorinated oil with 44% Cl IMPROVED - Goodshelf life - Gooddispersingproperties - Goodstabilityduringprocess - Goodeffectiveness to produce desiredarticle - Good shelf life Final meeting –Pisa ICCOM 11 December 2013

  9. Retanning process Final meeting –Pisa ICCOM 11 December 2013

  10. Retanning process CLP1 MSCL1 MSCL2 FACL1 FACL2 Final meeting –Pisa ICCOM 11 December 2013

  11. Retanning process Final meeting –Pisa ICCOM 11 December 2013

  12. Comparison of obtained articles by using CLP1 and other compound fatliquors Final meeting –Pisa ICCOM 11 December 2013

  13. Ready to use Fatliquor made as follows Final meeting –Pisa ICCOM 11 December 2013

  14. These are the trials done • Product SCLP1 made by using standard Sulpho-Chloroparaffines (10% S) • Product FASCL2 made by using Palmkernel Sulpho-Chlorinated Methyl-Fatty Acid Ester (10%S)

  15. Conclusion Ready to use Fatliquor by using Sulpho-Chlorinated oil give - Similar tanning power - Goodshelf life - Goodemulsifyingproperties - Goodeffectiveness to produce desiredarticle Final meeting –S.Croce S.Arno 15 October 2013

  16. Retanning process SCLP1 FASCL2 Meeting –S.Croce S.Arno 15 October 2013

  17. Comparison of obtained articles by using SCLP1 and alternative compound fatliquors Meeting –S.Croce S.Arno 15 October 2013

  18. Conclusion • More similar are the chemicals characteristics of the new products (in terms of chain lenght S content and Cl content), more similar results are obtained on leather articles. • The new chlorinated and sulpho-chlorinated chemicals can be easily used to produce a common fatliquoring agent. • The new chlorinated and sulpho-chlorinated chemicals didn’t request particular application process and may be replaced instead of chlorinated and sulpho-chlorinated paraffin to produce very similar results. Final meeting –Pisa ICCOM 11 December 2013

  19. Conclusion Action 9 : In these pictures there are examples of artigianal articles made with the leather processed with new natural fatting: Final meeting –Pisa ICCOM 11 December 2013
