  3. Current peering providers • PhIX - Philippines Long Distance Telecom (PLDT) • Globe IX (GIX) - Innove Communications • MIX - Eastern Telecom • NGIX - Bayantel • ePLDT - PLDT for Gaming/Content IX

  4. Our goal • Have a common Exchange point • Eliminate bandwidth connectivity issues between Telco’s • Provide better statistics • Localize traffic • IX’s, ISP’s • Content providers

  5. Our solution • Setup a common peering point for local traffic “PHv46X” • Address the barriers • Let local traffic be local • Provide more access to local content providers • Government networks, gaming providers etc.

PHv46X • An initiative of PHNOG and ASTI/DOST • Will soon be setup (Mid September 2006) • Thanks to Innove Communication, Cisco and PCH, Consulintel • Services • v4 and v6 peering • v6 tunnel broker • Route views • Access to root-server (to be confirmed with APNIC) • AS number for non-ISP members
