  2. What we needed: For Each Food Item • Calories and nutrients (per 100 grams) • Food groups and subgroups (per 100 grams) • Oils, solid fats, added sugars, and alcohol (per 100 grams) • Portion options and weight of each portion • Foods in ready-to-consume forms

Data Sources • FNDDS 4.1 (USDA’s Agricultural Research Service): • Calories and nutrients per 100 grams • Portion options and weight of each portion • MPED 2.0 (USDA’s Agricultural Research Service): • Food groups and subgroups per 100 grams • Oils, solid fats, added sugars, and alcohol per 100 grams • CNPP Addendum to MPED 2.0: • Supplementary MPED values needed for new foods in FNDDS 4.1, not available in MPED 2.0

  4. Modifications to Data • Add foods most requested by users, when feasible • Create consumer-friendly name(s) for each food item—allow multiple names • Set priorities for order in which items are returned from a search • Create search categories to narrow focus of search • Identify consumer-friendly portion options

  5. FNDDS 4.1 + MPED 2.0 + CNPP Addendum to MPED 2.0 = SuperTracker
