GIS Spatial Data • Climate • Recommend using IPCC default climate regions if applying default emission factors (classification diagram will be provided) • Soil • Also recommended using IPCC default soil types (classification diagram will be provided) • Land Use • IPCC categories: forest lands, croplands, grasslands, settlements, wetlands and other lands • Land Use Subcategories • Forest types • Grassland Types • Cropland Types

  4. Importing GIS Spatial Data in GHG Inventory Tool • Export climate, soil, land use, land use subcategories (if included), and land area data from GIS • Save data in a text file • Order of columns: climate, soil, land use, land use subcategories (if included) and land area • Column titles • Comma-delimited • Import into tool using “input file” option for land use and management data entry
