  1. Motif Sosial Merupakan segala sesuatu yg meliputi semua penggerak, alasan atau dorongan dalam diri manusia yg menyebabkan ia berbuat sesuatu

  2. Pemahaman ttg motivasi • Disebabkan oleh sesuatu yg mendorong tingkah laku • Disebabkan oleh sesuatu yg menarik Tingkah laku

Beberapa definisi ttg motif • Suatu pengertian yg melengkapi semua penggerak, alasan2 atau dorongan2 dlm diri manusia (wa gerungan) • Sesuatu yg menimbulkan tingkah laku (lindzey,hall & thompson) • Suatu disposisi laten yg berusaha dg kuat u/menuju pd tujuan ttt,tujuan ini berupa prestasi,afiliasi ataupun kekuasaan (atkinson) • Konstruksi yg potensial & laten yg dibentuk o/pengalaman2, yg scr relatif dpt bertahan meski kemungkinan berubah msh ada & berfungsi menggerakkan serta mengarahkan perilaku ke tujuan ttt (sri mulyani martaniah)

  4. Motif (wood worth & marquis) • Motif yg tergantung pd keadaan jasmani, merup.kebutuhan organik (makan,minum,dll) • Motif yg tergantung pd hub.ind.dg lingk,dibedakan mjd : • Emergency motif (melepaskan diri dr bahaya,melindungi fisik, dll) • Objective motif a/ motif yg berhub.lsg dg lingk.baik ind atau benda (penghargaan, memiliki mobil,rumah,dll)

  5. Motif (sherif) • Motif biogenetis (biogenic motif) a/ motif yg berasal dr kebutuhan biologi sbg man. Tdp pd lingk.internal, tdk banyak bergantung pd lingk.di luar diri ind & berkemb.dg sendirinya • Motif sosiogenetis (sosiogenic motif) a/ motif yg timbul krn hub.ind dg lingk (interaksi)

  6. Drives & incentives(lindzey,hall & thompson) • Drives a/sesuatu yg mendorong u/bertindak. Tdp drive primer (ex.lapar,haus,dsb) & drive yg diperoleh melalui proses belajar (ex.persaingan) • Incentive a/benda atau situasi (keadaan) yg berada dlm lingk.dsk ind yg mendorong/merangsang tingkah laku
