The student teachers, with the help of their cooperating teachers will implement these technology rich units during their student teaching. Objective: Using the Unit of Practice (UOP) framework, each student teacher, in collaboration with the cooperating teacher, will develop and implement a multi-week unit or series of lessons from the required curriculum for that grade and subject area that integrates technology in sustained and important ways. Arizona State University West Faculty The PT3 project will provide models of technology use in teacher education courses. ASUW faculty will learn to use new technologies, identify opportunities for technology integration, and develop technology rich projects for their students. Arizona Classrooms of Tomorrow Today (AZCOTT) K-12 partner school districts will create classrooms that will become Arizona Classrooms of Tomorrow Today. Be sensitive to the developmental process of technology integration

  4. Assumptions • We can learn from other sources • 2. Useful information • a. The Timms instrument • b. Information technology competencies • c. NETS standards from ISTE • d. Previous observation instruments • The most critical feature: Defining integration 3. The instrument must reflect technology integration, which is observable.
