Why MOOC-Eds? • All the changes in education require opportunities for teachers and administrators to update their knowledge, skills and professional practices. • Resources for PD are very limited in most places. • Traditional “sit and listen” approaches are not effective; principles of effective PD are known. • Educators need a chance to learn in the ways they are asked to teach. • Personalized, accessible, effective, scalable PD is essential for successful school reforms.
