School Safety & Security Initiatives • We have increased our region of patrol from 3 to 4 areas to improve the response time for the Mobile Patrol Unit. • The Safety and Security Department utilizes the U. S. Justice Department’s SchoolCop data management system to record incidents for SLPS use only. This system also allows us to track types of incidents, locations, areas, severity that are reported to our department in order for us to effectively deploy resources. • We continue to collaborate with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department to be apprised of all incidents (homicides, gang activities, shootings, fights) that could possibly impact our schools. Members of our Command Staff attend weekly meetings (CompStat) with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department . St. Louis Public Schools
