Our Strategy Our mission is to support our current and future youth athletes by providing Ultimate programs that give every participant the best opportunity for their own excellence and enjoyment. • Strategic Priorities • 1. Create programs that are athlete centred, coach driven and administratively facilitated • 2. Partner with our great volunteer community to accelerate the implementation of our strategy • 3. Utilize the Internet to engage and empower our stakeholders • 4. Build trust within our community through transparency
Our Values • CJU Values Calgary Junior Ultimate works hard to build programs that our youth athletes will thrive in, and our values are integral in guiding our decisions: • We believe that personal responsibility and mutual respect are at the core of the Spirit of the Game • We believe in a culture of teamwork • We are committed to constantly teach and learn
Community Stream • A venue for new and younger athletes to learn basic movement and disc skills • Coaching with an emphasis on fair play and Spirit of the Game • Encouraging an active lifestyle • Huge growth opportunity that requires addition staffing/coaches
Competitive Stream • A venue for older more experience athletes to start developing Ultimate specific strategy and skills • Competitive Club/travelling opportunities • High Level coaching
Future Programming • Skills Development: • Practice • Camps • Regular Games • League • Tournaments • CJU Hosted • Prairie Circuit • School Partnership
Challenges • Indoor facilities: • Significantly more expensive • Hard to secure bookings • Not Centralized locations • Communication • Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation • Staffing • All programs involving minor/youth athletes require significant staffing and volunteer commitment
