Make-Up Assessment • The Florida Standards Alternate Assessment (FSAA) program will be offering a make-up administration window for the FSAA—Performance Task English Language Arts (ELA) 2 and Algebra 1 assessments. • A student can be considered eligible to participate in the fall make-up administration if he or she has completed the course(s) and either (a) should have been but was not assessed during a previous administration or (b) did not pass the assessment(s) AND the individual educational plan (IEP) team has determined that he or she must retake the assessment(s) to receive a passing score to meet graduation requirements.
Make-Up Assessment Key Dates • Reminders: • Students and users from the Spring 2019 administration will already be in ART • Test included in administration: ELA 2 & Alg 1 (Form A from Spring 2019 admin)
Resources and Key Information for Effective Administration & Support
Update on Requests from AACs FSAA—Performance Task Online System • Reason Not Tested visible on test completion status • The ability to have multiple AACs for a district • Ability for either District 1 or District 2 to initiate Student Transfer • E -mail notification when a transfer request is entered. The functionality is being evaluated.
Cognitive Processing Survey Survey Overview: • Intended as a large-scale survey for educators, about 20–40 min to complete survey • Will include some released items for educators to consider as they are providing their responses to the survey • Purpose of survey • Gather evidence of student thinking (e.g., understanding, reasoning, problem-solving) as they process, understand, and respond to FSAA—PT performance tasks • Determine, to the degree possible, what cognitive processes students undertake when they respond to items in FSAA—PT performance tasks
Reporting Look Ahead • Schedule is expected to be similar to Spring 2019. • Reports are scheduled to be posted online by June 12, 2020. • Paper reports will ship in July. • There will be separate Interpretation Guides for Performance Task and Datafolio. • There will be report shells in Haitian Creole and Spanish.
