FMS 8.8 Key tasks remaining • The integration tests, involving Dozens of people are scheduled to complete on May 6th. • The Month end Parallel test is scheduled to be completed on May 10th. • There are two Capacity (Stress tests) scheduled for May 10th and May 17th) • A “Dress Rehearsal” is scheduled for May 16th. • Training, and more training
FMS 8.8 Go Live • The Upgrade is scheduled to start Thursday, June 2nd at the end of business. • The upgrade team will working around the clock, (4 shifts) for 4-5 days. • We expect to have the system available for user validation sometime on Tuesday June 7th. • If all goes well, Production will available Wednesday, June 8th. • Detail Calendar will be distributed next week.
FMS 8.8 Queries • Successfully uploaded the Queries as of February 28th. • Query 8.8 has a new feature which organizes queries into Folders, provides performance management tools. • You need identify which ones you want us to keep. Otherwise they will be archived and deleted. • You need to test them and correct them in FMS8BOX. Please contact Larry Lilliback if you need assistance. (ext.4685, LGLillback@lbl.gov)
FMS 8.8 Query Problems • If you get this message when opening a query, then please look at the query closely. Compare to Production and correct the differences. This may cause a huge performance problem since we cannot access your private queries. Because of this, we may need to set the Query processing limit at 15 minutes.
FMS 8.8 nVision • Due to popular demand, we are going to continue to allow nVision to be run from your local workstation. • If you need to run nVision from your workstation, contact Aurora Pecoraro (ext 6439,APecoraro@lbl.gov )
FMS 8.8 Allocations • The New Allocation process ran for February data. The accuracy is 99.99 %. We are researching the difference of $1,000 out of $10,000,000
FMS 8.8 Liens • We have recently closed over 13000 Purchase Orders since March 1st. Approximately 3,100 were “Legacy”, prior to August 2002. • There are still 990 open “Legacy” Purchase Orders.
