  1. EUP Implementation Survey October 26, 2010

  2. Successes • Tool in hands of districts/buildings/teachers • PS templates are great, as is the sharing of solutions via listserv and from Jay • DataDirector Loading • None • Scanned and online common assessment in K-8 Math across two ISDs • Great opportunities for collaboration with other ISDs in learning about and moving the initiative forward • We have expanded our implementation to more classrooms and teacher users. • The reports and online testing is great • got the data in but it is not clean enough to run a report in a training to produce the desired results. We need to take a step back and just get that resolved • Provided resources to help move data project forward • Staff embracing theories behind DD

  3. Challenges • Data consistency and flow, anticipate this to be an ongoing challenge but not insurmountable. • Very little formal training sponsored by RDI and very few meetings coordinated by RDI to help facilitate a sharing of what's working with implementing the initiative • Keeping up with reporting is a bit of a challenge. • Getting data into the system is not always easy • time to implement and work with it. • Too much confusion, information coming late • Staffing, DD License Costs

  4. Points for Discussion • What are the Data Warehouse Issues? • Implementation? • Training? • How do we get stakeholders (teachers, superintendents, etc.) excited about the RDI project? • What other issues are out there? • Questions?

  5. Your Ideas for RDI Value • Automated uploads • More collective steering of implementations • I'd like to see actual classroom teachers who utilize the system effectively give a few presentations on how they find it valuable. If those could be captured for the web, it would be really great to have a colleague tell teachers what they can do instead of us. • Access to MEAP item analysis data for our warehouse. And additional funding to support automation of data connectors • More ability to share reports across ISD's • Additional funding would be great to help sustain our efforts since implementation has taken longer than expected, coordinating greater communications!
