HFM PANEL SCOPE Human Effectiveness Psycho-social, organisational, cultural and cognitive aspects in military action Human System Integration Human-in-the-system analysis, design and evaluation and experimentation Operational Medicine Aerospace, hyper/hypobaric, and military medicine necessary to ensure sustenance, health, safety, and survival of military personnel Human Protection Human-centered research for optimising physiological tolerance, protection, and survivability in adverse mission environments 3

  4. TWO IMPORTANT CHANGES • MERGE OF (1) HUMAN PROTECTION and (2) OPERATIONAL MEDICINE • NEW AREA: HEALTH, MEDICINE and PROTECTION. • NO URGENT NEED OF A THIRD PANEL MEMBER (only as BACK UP) • LEAVE OF MED GEN MAJ LAIRE replaced by MED KOL SBH NEIRINCKX (also voting member)

  23. ESM 04- CBRN CBRN protection is selected as the next topic for a JIP (Cat A). Will be developped in 2011. 4 years duration after the date of signature Budget: 57 MEUR BEL: 2,76 % Two Belgian members in the JIP CBRN Management Committee Med Kol Gala (DLD) Wim Van den Bossche (DLD).
