Graduation Requirements • English 4 units: Must have9th Lit. and Am. Lit. • Social Studies 3 units: Must haveWorld History, US History, ½ unit of Government and Economics • Science 4 units: Must havePhysical Science or Physics; Biology; Chemistry; Environmental or AP • Math 4 units: see chart
Postsecondary Testing Requirements • SAT-offered 7 times a year (measures critical Reading, Math & Writing) Scores range 200-800 per section • ACT-offered 6 times a year (measures Reading, English, Math & Science) Scores range 2-36 • Compass-offered monthly @ Technical Schools (measures Reading, Writing & Math)
College Entrance ExamsSAT, ACT or ASSET • SAT-2400: Measures what you know and how well you apply that knowledge. 3 hours 45 minutes/Score range: 200-800 per section/Critical Reading, Math and Writing. • ACT-36:Measures general development & capability to complete college level work. 2 hours 55 minutes w/o writing/Score range:1-36 per section/English, Math, Reading, Science. • ASSET- Technical Schools: A series of short placement test that measures basic reading, numerical, writing plus advanced algebra and geometry/2 hours. (Score depends on program of study) • College Testing & Application Waivers
HOPE Program Summarywww.Gacollege411.orgHOPE InformationGacollege411.org • HOPE Scholarship: Graduate with 3.0 calculated by GSFC. Pays a percentage amount of tuition. • Zell Miller Scholars: Core GPA 3.7 calculated by GSFC and SAT score of 1200 (CR & M) or ACT 26 on a single test administration.

Financial Aid/Scholarships • Find out about your HOPE status from www.Gacollege411.org • Complete FAFSA form in January 1. • Adhere to college deadlines!! • Parent Night: January 12th 6pm • Scholarships: counseling office, online, PSAT, colleges & universities.
Scholarship Scams • Do not pay any monies toward finding scholarships. • If you did not apply for it do not fall for it!! • EHHS Counseling Department and the Financial Office of a post-secondary school can provide all necessary information for free!
Senior Year Highlights • Keep copies of all components to application • Establish a line of communication with each college in which you apply to. • Ask college admission representatives questions about their institution— • Be patient. Processing applications takes time
