Coordination): • Beam pipe under vacuum and at atmospheric pressure • Detectors before full opening • Beam pipe parts before dismounting 13 m long Be parts 2 - 3 and steel part 4 • Upgrade of survey network with new references (Cryo side) • BCAM System for beampipe and IT1 opening/closing and monitoring • Geometrical follow-up during consolidation of dipole magnet coil supports • Installation and adjustment of new beam pipe supports • New HPDs in RICH (to be confirmed) • All detectors survey and adjustment during detector closing • Beam pipe at atmospheric pressure and under vacuum • New MoEDAL modules (tbc) • In parallel: analysis and survey reports
LHCbPlanning des activités • SU planning has to follow the LHCb planning • Main periods: • Feb to Apr 2013: All survey for opening + Beam pipe dismounting • May 2013 to May 2014 main tasks: • Network upgrade LHCb C side • Measurement of the full network and connection to HLS • Connection Right to Left (tbc, opening of shielding not sure) • Survey for magnet consolidation • Coordination, installation, commissioning of a IT/VC BCAM monitoring system • June 2014 to Closure of the cavern: • New Beam Pipe supports installations and adjustments • Installation of new Beam Pipes • Survey for closure – All detectors
Non-LHC - COMPASSActivités prévues pendant le LS1 • Main Survey for COMPASS during LS1 (from COMPASS) • Geodetic network: Reconstruction partly needed after shielding modification • OD Magnet: Cold mass survey and adjustment + Positioning of OD magnet in exp. area • DC4,W45...: Preparatory work in clean room + Re-installation into beam pos. after repair • CAMERA: Preparatory work for repair + Ring A position after assembly • DC5&DC6: Most probably will be needed after LS1 ...???? • DY: Two parts of the absorber, fiducialisation for each + Positioning on the beam • ECAL0: Survey of the rails, movable platform, ECAL0 positioning on the beam etc. • As usual,1 month of survey just before start of the RUN 2014 will be needed • In TOTAL: ~3 months in-field work for 2 surveyors = 6 man/monthsThe estimation is very rough and will be clarified in the forthcoming months... • In parallel the analysis and reports for above mentioned works
Non-LHC – HIE-ISOLDE SurveyActivités prévues pendant le LS1 • Main HIE ISOLDE survey activities – Assembly and tests of CMs • Clean Room class 100 and class 10000 installation (Dec 2012 to Sept. 2013) • Preparatory work : Floor level, 1st geodetic network, tracing …(Dec.2012 to Feb.2013) • Infrastructure installation i.e. adjustments of base plates, long rail, geometrical control after sealing … • Survey controls for Gantry preassembly out of the Clean Room and assembly in the Clean Room • Cryo Modules Assemblies: CM1 (Sept. 2013 to Feb. 2014), CM2 (Mar. 2014 to Jul. 2014) • Preparatory work : Fiducialisation and control of Top Plate, adjustments… • Alignment of cavities and solenoid • Closure of the CM, relationship between ext. reference sockets and side references • Vacuum and Cryo Tests of CM1 (March 2014 to Apr. 2014) CM2 (Aug. 2014 to Sept. 2014) • Preparatory work : Geodetic network installation / Adjustment of CMs / Installation of alignment tables • CMs follow-up by survey and monitoring of Cavities and Solenoid
Non-LHC – HIE-ISOLDE SurveyActivités prévues pendant le LS1 • Main HIE ISOLDE survey activities – Installation in the Isolde Hall • CE + Tunnel (Mar 2013 to Oct. 2013) • Beam Line Tracing, assembly follow-up and control of infrastructure position • Transfer Line – Phase 1 • Support tracing (end 2013) + Jacks pre-alignment (Period Jan. to Jul. 2014) • Magnet procurement, test and fiducialisation (from Mar. 2014 to May 2014) • Start of Transfer Line install and alignment from June ??? to end of September 2014 • LINAC - Phase 1 • CM1 delivery May 2014, CM2 delivery Sept. 2014 • Survey and alignment of CMs • Cool-down beginning of November
Non-LHC – HIE-ISOLDE MonitoringActivités prévues pendant le LS1 • Main HIE ISOLDE Monitoring System activities and dates • Target type decision End of 2012 • Target final design and production for 2 CMs for installation in March 2014 • HBCAM design and 2 prototypes (OSI) Dec. 2012 • HBCAM test and calibration in Brandeis (GK) Mid 2013 • Production of HBCAMs for end 2013 • Software finalized for end 2013 • Metrological table design Early 2013 • Installation for CM tests Feb 2014 • Installation Metrological Tables and Alignment System in LINAC May to Sept. 2014 • Commissioning Alignment System (Oct. 2014)
Non-LHC – HIE-ISOLDEActivités prévues pendant le LS1 • Survey work • HIE survey during 2013 and 2014: 1 team of 2 persons half time, 1 FTE • Alignment and Monitoring System • ~1.2 FTE + Some help from time to time • HIE-ISOLDE: Work distributed all along the LS1 period
Procédures • Mainly from installations or survey previously performed • Documentation in survey reports on EDMS • New tasks According to discussions with responsible persons • Special procedure according to work in Clean Rooms for HIE-Isolde • As usual Adaptation to the cavern conditions will be needed
Matériel • Mainlyidentical for all the experiments: • Instruments: • TC2002, NA2, D2x (Photogrammetry), AT401, 3D Laser Scanner • Software: • Carnet4000, PCTOPO32 (LGC, CHABA, …), Shapes, Geode • AICON 3D Studio, Spatial Analyzer.
