  2. The territory of the Province of Rome • 5,300 kmq • 121 municipalities • 3,831,959 inhabitants • 2,547,677 inhabitants reside in the municipality of Rome The Province represents a territory diversely articulated both from an environmental and historical-cultural viewpoint.

Provincial call for tender for co-financing local Agenda 21 processes by municipalities and unions of municipalities, mountain communities and park authorities. • In 2006 • 14 projects were • co-financed: • (682,691.41 €) • 12 start up • and 2 implementation • 14 forums • 14 Reports on State of the Environment • 14 Local Plains of Action
