Design Rationale • A consistent look and feel throughout the application • Maximizes user workspaces • Allows users to resize and collapse workspaces • Minimizes the number of mouse-clicks/click-paths between functions • Allows for updating of information within a panel/workspace without a complete screen refresh • Allows quick access to various application functions via the Dashboard • Proven design methodology based on other industry standard design (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, e-Trade, etc.) • Flexible and extensible design allowing for future user customization and expansion of the number of panels

  31. We Will Rely on Five Beta Sites What Beta Is • - a first step toward implementation • with a limited caseload • with a few users • with a “core” functionality

  35. “Iterative” Development • Start with enough basic functions to do a case • Then we start adding functionality • When stable, we bring up state 2 – Illinois • Continue adding functionality • When stable, we bring up state 3- Missouri • And so on through NY • When five states are stable, we have Release 1.0 • We estimate that this will take 18 months
