Erasmus Mundus - Action 1 to date • 123 EMMCs and 24 EMJDs providing scholarships in 2011-2012 • 183 EMMCs selected, 2004 – 2010 • Action 1: 1451 participations by 559 different HEIs • 365 EU HEIs, 194 non-EU • 10,100 Masters students selected • 1,600 Masters scholars selected • First editions of EMJDs: 130 fellows selected

  6. Erasmus Mundus - Action 2 to date(ECW, 2007-2009, Action 2 2010) • 116 partnerships selected, 2007 - 2010 • 2,100 participations by 822 different HEIs • 256 EU, 566 non-EU • 14,000 mobilities to date (2007-2009 selections) • 5,500 mobilities planned in partnerships selected in 2010

Erasmus Mundus - Action 3 to date(Ex-Action 4, 2004-2008) • 8 projects for promotion of European higher education selected in 2010 • 62 Enhancing attractiveness projects 2004-2010 • 560 participations by 466 different HE organisations (225 from Europe, 241 from third countries) • 5 information projects managed by National Structures (2 selected in 2009, 3 in 2010) • 5 Clusters of Erasmus Mundus projects

Erasmus Mundus III: the future Erasmus Mundus II runs until end 2013 Programme will now be drawn up in light of higher education objectives and the EU’s wider policy objectives (Europe 2020) EU to maintain support for international mobility and academic cooperation Consultation took place on October/November for a new programme for international cooperation in higher education, for 2014-2018 New programme to take account of all existing programmes for international higher education cooperation: Erasmus Mundus; Tempus; US/Canada/bilateral programmes; ALFA; Edulink; Jean Monnet
