History and our goal • Founded on the 1st of September in 2006 • One department of The Vocational Educational Centre of Tartu Our goal is to: • offer information and guidance for young people in order to help plan their future • find ways for their personal development • introduce professions and studying opportunities (in the Vocational Education Centre of Tartu) • support teachers, school career coordinators and parents

Team • Manager (Martin Medar) • 4 career counsellors (Karl Tamm, Reet Jakobson, Ele Linder, Rena Pent) • 2 career information specialists (Julia Šarapova, Karin Kuum) • Pre-vocational trainings manager (Ülle Antson) • Project manager (Andrei Atškasov) • Manager of subject sections (Natali Happonen) Together 10 team members.

  4. Activities • Testing and career counselling • Lectures, seminars, workshops • Pre-vocational trainings • Career days and visits to the Vocational Education Centre of Tartu • Visits to companies • Different events for students

  7. Lectures • Main topics: - career orientation and planning - education system - labour market - studying abroad - job seeking - professions in The Vocational Education Centre of Tartu - different psychological topics (communication, listening, self confidence etc.)
