CCCU Mission and Values Starting point: our values are important, remain relevant, and have broad support Opportunity: review and ‘refresh’ their expression Process thus far… Aims: 1) a mission statement 2) a statement of our values 3) concise, clear and memorable 4) distinctive, deliverable and for the long term
Mission Statement Inspired by the University’s Church of England Foundation and the aspirations of its students and staff, our mission is to pursue excellence in academic and professional higher education thereby enriching both individuals and society(2006-10)

Values As a Church of England Foundation, we value: • the power of higher education to transform individuals, communities, society and the economy • the integration of teaching excellence with high quality research and knowledge exchange • by encouraging creativity and innovation • the development of the whole person • by encouraging a spirit of reflection and enquiry and promoting opportunities for learning beyond the curriculum • in responsible stewardship of the natural environment • equality of opportunity • by respecting the inherent dignity and potential of each person • our friendly and supportive community
