Music Magazine Ideas By Artur Pogorzelski
Genre/ Sub-Genre • My music magazine will have a specific genre. It will focus on chart music and the top mainstream artists of the time. • However there tends to be a trend in those sort of magazines mainly featuring POP, R&B and Hip-Hop. • The magazine will focus on talking about the most famous artists and their new music.
Audience • I am targeting the teenage population with my mainstream magazine. I think that it will appeal most to the female audience between the ages of 15 and 25. • Young women tend to like this type of music more than men because they are more interested by the celebrity world.
Possible Title Ideas • Here I have come up with some names I could use as the name of my magazine. • Peak • Summit • Fiesta • MIC- music in close-up
Tag lines • Here I came up with a couple of taglines. The idea is to let the reader know that the magazine is about the most popular music and artists at the time. • ‘Helping you reach the top.’ • ‘Worlds greatest music in one place.’
Editorial mission statement. • I am aiming to inform my readers about the newest music produced by the most famous artists in the music industry. Also I will try to include features such as gossip, questionnaires and interviews. This will hopefully keep my audience engaged and keep purchasing!
Reader Profile. • Hi, my names Helen. I’m 17 and I consider myself to be your average teenager. I like partying and going out with my friends. Whenever I’m at home I listen to the common TV music stations and I enjoy it. I buy the (name) magazine in order to find out more about the artists behind my favourite songs.
